BSc Physiotherapy
Maria is a Senior Physiotherapist in the Occupational Health department at a major NHS trust and a valued member of the clinical team at Mode Physiotherapy. With more than ten years of experience in musculoskeletal care, she delivers tailored support for active individuals and those managing ongoing joint or spinal challenges.
She earned her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Coventry and Leicester Universities in 2010, following a Higher National Diploma in Sports Science (Sports Therapy). Her early work included rotational NHS posts that built a broad clinical foundation, alongside part-time experience supporting youth athletes at Leicester City Football Academy between 2009 and 2011.
Maria has specialised in musculoskeletal rehabilitation since 2013. She later transitioned into an Advanced Clinical Practitioner role, completing postgraduate modules in Extended Scope Practice (Coventry University) and Injection Therapy (University of Nottingham). These qualifications expanded her clinical toolkit to include targeted assessment and injection-based treatment supported by pharmacological understanding.
Her areas of clinical focus include recovery from hip, knee, shoulder, and spinal conditions. Using personalised exercise programming and manual treatment techniques, she supports patients in regaining movement, strength, and long-term function. Her approach aligns with Mode’s ethos: expert care delivered with compassion and precision.
Outside the clinic, Maria enjoys weekends on the sidelines of her children’s football matches, walking her dogs through the countryside, keeping active with HIIT and strength training, and horse riding—a passion she’s embraced since the age of three.
