Emma is an Advanced Clinical Physiotherapist and director at Mode Physiotherapy. Emma qualified from Coventry University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She knew immediately that she wanted to specialise within this area since qualifying and has advanced in the Musculoskeletal setting throughout the years.
Emma has completed multiple University Masters modules including ‘Advanced Clinical Diagnostic Management’, enabling her to confidently diagnose and treat more complex conditions, including the ability to screen for medical causes of musculoskeletal pain. She continues to work for a large NHS organisation completing rehabilitation, assessment and she also works within a GP setting. These roles involve additional skills such as access to diagnostics (i.e. x-ray and MRI), injection therapy and referring for surgery such as hip and knee replacements. She has specialist experience in Musculoskeletal conditions including, spinal, hip, knee, shoulder to name but a few, and a keen interest in the management of Osteoarthritis. Emma is passionate about ensuring that every single one of her patients leaves their initial appointments happy and with a clear plan in place. She will work with you in understanding your diagnosis and and management of your problem. Emma prides herself on treating her patients how she would want her family / friends to be treated.
Emma has always been involved in an active lifestyle and used to compete at swimming galas. She enjoys hiking/camping and loves to explore, especially in the Peak and Lake Districts. She also enjoys playing squash and has recently taken up Paddle Boarding. She is yet to get her Cockapoo on the board – but watch this space.
